Day 10: Hagerstown, MD to Home!

We are home!

We woke up and got right on the road from Hagerstown.  Without rush hour traffic, it was an easy drive home despite the rain.  We spent some time before bedtime last night packing our clothes and getting our supplies into bags.  That enabled us to quickly unpack when we pulled up to home.  We cleaned the RV - inside and out.  We had to return it clean, and the outside had gotten pretty dirty from some of the more rustic campsites.  Washing an RV in the middle of the rain must have been an interesting sight!

Once unloaded and clean, I took the RV and headed out again to fill the propane.  From there, I headed to Cruise America and returned the RV, where it was off for a deep clean for its new owners.  Christine and the kids drove from the house to pick me up (no Ubers for us these days).  We got back home at 12:15 PM, and need to unpack, do laundry, and prepare for social distancing from here.  Additionally, we had the hardwood floors done while we were in Arizona, and still haven’t unpacked into our new kitchen, so lots of work to keep us busy here!

Our RV adventure covered 2735 miles over 10 days.  We were in 11 states - Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maryland and Virginia.  The map is available here if you want to see it.

We’ll likely have some more thoughts to share about the trip, but wanted to let you know we arrived home safe and sound.
